That's the sandpapery stuff that they put on steps etc isn't it? Won't is just wear away your battery?

That's what it's generally used for indeed, magnified the structure of this item looked quite fine.
I think as long as the battery is fixated, nothing much should happen. Main way of holding the battery down are going to be the velcro straps, I'll only be using two small strips of this stuff to prevent any lateral movement.

Alea iacta est.

Not really though, it will be a pretty standard car for the rest (for now).
And I won't be opening that one but instead I'll use the carbon shafts from a package I opened before - which I can 'steal' now.

These short straps will do very nicely. No discernible quality difference with the Turnigys by the way.
Not bad at all at a quarter each (so might as well get ten of 'em).

Getting closer to somewhat of a complete car. :)

TA03 knuckles - same as TA02 but black of course (don't have special bearings yet)...
I was planning on using the short set from this to have four shocks in total :

But now realise that package comes with the one piece damper shafts only.
Meant for a DT-03, I suspect they will be too long.

I haven't looked into it exactly yet but I believe they are - for 70mm overall length.
Shouldn't be too hard to find some on road damper shafts though. :)

;) You can use something like black (entretoises)to reduce the length like in the low rider kit for cc01

think CC01 shafts are longer, I put a set on one of my Willy and had to use the short connector instead of the normaly long one.

Cheers, guys. :)
But how very odd - just unpacked and compared and they are the exact same length as 50519 after all.
So they will go in the (also short) front Super Hornet shocks that are on the Grasshopper - for those pistons (that are not one piece) to go inside the housings I will put on this car.
