Scratch build WR 2wd and 4wd chassis Carbon Dagger 9 years 7 months ago #30952

Took my hopped up WD apart and combined it with some old and new parts to make one carbon frame 4wd and two 2wd WR chassis.

1 WD

+ some parts

and a frame

make One

and Two

and Three

locked the rear diff on the 4WD and has 6mm ball nut for some beefier upper arms

now awaiting 10mm POM and 3mm aluminum for some diy dampermounts and suspension arms.

the carbon dampermounts are lower than the previous ally ones so have to think about different dampers.

custom battery mount (6mm carbon, 4mm brass tube and 3mm M3 wire and some bits and pieces)

the 2WD got 45T with 18 pinion thats fast enough for my little godbrat and his brother.

first delivery of pom plates was with different thickness.

the ebay seller solved it very quickly, now got double the amount so enough for testing.

also got the aluminium plates (same seller)

and took out the hacksaw and some files.

I am afraid that if I put so much work into a car, I wouldn#t be able to give it away :P
