Made some more progress with this in between paint work on the Marui, They are from the right era but NOS shocks I polished up and fitted. Cleaned and installed the last of the drive parts, then made a bumper which is more of a shelf piece than functional & finally I finished with the steering assembly .
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

That bumper is looking good. Is it a piece of extruded/polished aluminium ?

Yes I picked up a 2mtr used length from I don't remember where thinking I could use to make bumpers with I cut this bit up to suit the SRB front and polished I finished the fitment tonight If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

Yep, spring is "supposed" to come from in front of the arm, not behind it ... I'm not sure what effect that would have on the spring rate ...
