Been feeling i could do better on this ... step one was to make some licence plates - key bits being preformed 6mm and 2mm lettering from Slaters...

TBH the 2mm letters are fiddlier than I can manage to handle accurately ...

... and painted. Not real, not reproduction, not perfect - but better than re-re plates & decals :)

C'mon... making your own license plates?? That's nuts! :woohoo:

Stripped this at the same time as the Sand Rover... this has gone beyond deja-vu, it's more like Groundhog Day now - but hopefully this will be the final painting, in the "right" colours :)

Jonny do you have the doorhandles? If so can you make a sketch with measurements. Got an old model SS too who needs a fixup

I know "SS" in the very narrow context of Americans talking about certain post-WWII US "sports" cars means "Super Sports", but even then I find it problematic ... but to read a European using it as an abbreviation for anything just seems wrong - it is & forever will mean Waffen-Schutzstaffel

Moving on ... i do have one (just the one, between 2 cars ) - dimensions (but note tapers/curves):
overall length = 19.9mm
width at widest point = 3.05mm
width at narrowest point = 1.05mm
maximum height (excluding location pips) = 3mm
wide flat = 6mm
narrow flat = 3.7mm
