Tamiya's Blazing Blazer was the top of the line RC model in the mid 80's. The original design was picked up from American desert race cars. Based on the Chevy Blazer body, the Americans made these winged racers for fun in the desert. The pictures here show what must be Tamiya's basis when they made the Blazing Blazer. This 1:1 car was driven by Bob Gorden in 1978 in the Parker 400 Desert Race. The black #234 was driven by Heres Parnelli for a few years in the early 80's. Not to successful... Latest picture shows a similar construction, very close to the Blazer. This one is a Ford Bronco.
