A fully restored number 1 :) Took me quite some time to restore this one since it was hard to get all the broken parts. Now with the rerelease of the Black Porsche it is easier to restore it.
I used TS-43. That is the orignal color for this kit. I have seen this kit also in PS-54 of the Anniversary Model on a fare here and I didn't like it. I was intending to do that too, but it just didn't look right. So I took the original color. I am quite pleased with it :-)
Nope no clear coating. I used the original color. The trick is to have at least 4 layers of paint. The first one is always horrible and the second looks nice while it is still wet, but when it is dry it has lost is shine a bit. So I did it again and discovered that when you have at least four layers you get a good result, but it will cost you two canisters of spray paint instead of one....
In between the layers I sand it a bit to remove some dust spots.
I am working on my XLT and it is almost finished where I sprayed it with 2 layers and it looks great. I will post it later this week I guess.
Wow. that is a beauty!! I am guessing it is painted? If so. what colour did you use? My 934 is in bits waiting assembly, but I cat decide wether to just clear coat, or add a colour.
