I need to read this full thread but I remember Jonny's post on peroxide and thought it would help in this I will receive in a few days.

Any comments Jonny on the type of ABS plastic it is?

You can take the (now direct and only 3 hours) train from London to Rotterdam and get some UV grow light in the assorted shops

HAHA or wait 6 months for that IDEAL day. Wife will be like, common we're going out its sunny. Screw that I have a bumper to bleach.

We may be visiting the UK end of May, both last times we were in Wales and Scotland we had a heatwave +21 degrees and loads off sunshine (at least twice a day). So don't despair.

TBH I'd guess it's some sort of nylon rather than... so the question is whether the yellowing is down to bromine migration (in which case peroxide will deal with it) or some other chemical/process. It worked on my Wheeler 'roo bar mount block (tamiyabase.com/...h-peroxide), so I'd be hopeful.

Its interesting you say this, now I recall a long time ago I had a very yellowed one of these and Tamiya done those nylon dye sets. Well it didn't dye it but I was left wondering what it was really made of. They call it an ABS bumper but it's certainly as tough as nylon.

It's worth a try though.

O my gosh, from snow to rain to full on hot hot hot within a month in UK. However, out comes the bleaching.

You're also much better organised than me, I made a note that I had some bits that needed doing, but failed to get any Peroxide in ... and forgot about it entirely until I saw your post
