Hey guys,
Thought I'd start a topic about what batteries y'all are using - and what you're charging 'em with. Adding a poll for the battery pack type... I'm a fan of batteries and chargers so I tried to get the best (I could possibly afford). A 225W (15V - 15A) Graupner power supply hooked up to an LRP Pulsar 3 : That charger is pretty awesome. I voted NiMH myself. There's actually more NiCds arounds but that's the one I use most... Often thought of as less important... but not in my book - the penlites and their device to get juiced up. I have the mother of chargers for that (AA and AAA size), as well as a smaller one (that's also quite capable) : Batteries of preference (there just aren't any better ones) - Sanyo Eneloop : They don't dry up but still have about 90% of their charge after a year. And they're matched like nothing else... |

LiPo is not explosive I think, from what I have seen and heard you have to treat them very badly... Lack of balance charges, physical cell damage and overcharging/discharging. |
