Hi guys,
I have a question to avoid to toast my old sanwa gc3300 rx I puted on my mountaineer. I puted a period esc a futaba mc112 in place of a msc. The gc hasn't a bec system. So I used a 4cells clip. But the system works without the clip. Like if the esc gives power to the receiver. Is it dangerous for the receiver? Should I keep the cells clip or not? Is there a risk to toast the receiver with the esc? I took a 10 minutes run without matter nor burning smell. Thanks for your advices. Flo |

What's the output on the +ve (& -ve) from the ESC? A multimeter ought to be part of everyone's tool kit, even a 5 EUR analogue model. I don't believe there is a standard as such, but the Tamiya TEU101BK outputs whatever the drive battery is outputting (so up to 11v+ for a freshly charged NiMH pack ), but every other ESC I've ever measured IIRC was 4.8v. I think i';ve read about 6v DV outputs, but to get that you'd usually need a UBEC with a switchable outputs. I wouldn't count on being safe, you'll think it's fine right up until the magic smoke escapes

Thanks spannerman. Modern connectors fit on the 3300. Naturally with the + on the right side.
Sorry I sold a 2200 last year. |

No lipo charging is generally 1c. So, your stick is 1000mAh 2S you have to trim the b6 on 2S at 1000mAh (1A) and plug the balancing wire.
