Like said Jonny, the 2,4ghz is the best way if you want to run it without exploding the chassis.

Thanks stingray

Are the 2.4ghz sets still prime to interference?

Is it a major jump up in tech?

Is £30 for a Carson reflex pro 3.1 and 4ch receiver a decent price?

Thanks

Rob

1- not to anything like the same extent, not even if you run your car between your router & a PC/laptop wireless dongle.

2- yes - mainly the lack of interference & not needing tuning crystals (or the need to check/control what frequencies others around are using).

3 - probably, a new 2 channel set (two sticks & blank top panels) runs about 45GBP (+ post), a 4 channel set (sticks, plus switches on the top panels) more like 70. If it's working, in decent condition (with the battery cover, box, manual, etc) & includes post I'd say it's a decent price.

Yep that's a decent price. Have a look on ebay. You can find flysky radio set for around 20 or 30€. That's magic. No more interférences. They are wifi radios.

Hi does the interference only show up when the motor is being run?
as for Rx antenna length for 27MHz, it should be 42" to be a complete fraction of the full-wave length.
but in general, as long as you have more wire length vertical than the horizontal wire length in the car you should be fine
I guess you're using the power feed to run the radio from the ESC or build in BCE in the receiver.....?
you could try running the receiver from its own battery to see if that solves the problem

hope this is of some help

Steve
