Spotted this FP-T2GS - so same model identification as the Medallion/M-series it looks 99% like - TX on eBay. Note the band identification (5) on the front panel, I believe this to be a US model as I understand that the FCC deemed it illegal to change a transmitter crystal yourself (maybe this is still the case)?

I was a bit reluctant to include the current 2HR model - I don't think it's an entry level radio (75 to 80 GBP) in the same way most of the other sets here were/are, the price is a lot higher and you get less - no servos, no BEC on the receiver as per modern practice.
The "HR" designation might hint that we're missing a generation or two between the 2ER and this, but when you look at the way the design changed from rounded (Attack SR) to full on bulbous (Attack II), I don't think the change from "somewhat Optimus Prime" to full on Decepticon face is that much of a jump for one generation. Found another rebadged 2DR - this time it's "C&F". I only found one hit on them as a manufacturer - this scan of a 1972 review of their Bugatti 37A www.classic.rc-....net/?p=42.
