RX540Vz replacement rotor 1 year 7 months ago #72471

Hello, does anyone know if Tamiya ever released a spare rotor for the RX540Vz motor as they did for the technipower (rotor 5227) and technituned (rotor 5231) motors? If so, do you know the part number.

The TB database lists the Technituned as a 27 single & the Technigold as a 21 single, so no, not the same rotor.

I looked in my Tamiya catalogues, 1986 shows the Technituned, Techituned rotor, Technipower motor, Technipower brush set, and the Technipower rotor - but no Technigold motor or anything for it.

1987  and 1988 show the Technigold motor only.

1989 shows the Technigold motor, and a brush set for it - part 50312

1990 moves away from the picture grid format, but the Technigold motor & brushes are listed.

1991, 92, 93, ditto

1994, nothing "Techni" is mentioned at all.

I don't have anything like a full perm of the RC Guide Books, but I do have one from 1987 (with the Bigwig on the front) - that only has the Technigold motor.

I can't say definitively that Tamiya never released a Technigold rotor, but I would expect it to have been documented, so it's probably a no :(

I never saw a vz technigold rotor in spare. But I know that graupner sold it. Maybe a source. And from mabuchi 0 spares available. Like if they never built this motor.

Thank you for your answer. The rotor shown is a 27 turn the RX540Vz is a 21 turn.

Thank you for all the information. I do find it odd they never released a spare rotor for the RX540Vz.
