Hey, well the manual describes them as a "Radius Arm" :blink: but I think of them a Stabilizing Arm ;) Basically it's there to tension the suspension arms and to stop them snapping off when you hit something with any force :pinch:

Why are they not on modern rc's :huh: Basically they are, they are just built in to the design of the swing arm with their larger lattice shape.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

These bits?




Tamiya calls them "radius arms" - properly adjusted, they take up the slack in the suspension arms, step screws & suspension stays ... they also provide some protection to the suspension arms in case of impact - they can't bend so far, so are less likely to snap.

:)


edit - if I hadn't fiddled around with the photo I'd have beat andy to it ;)

:P Very fun to drive strictly stock but the rear suspension is too soft and need a small skid to protect the gear case :silly:
Maybe some sparckles with a steel skid :evil: :whistle: :evil: :evil:
