Couldn't help myself and made an offer on this Obviously it was accepted and I will finally have a nice Original Sand Rover body for my TL01 chassis, I love the body but not the Orginal chassis and had seen one fitted to a TL01 and loved it. I have already ordered a new roll bar set from tony's, AWD Sand Rover (Oh it comes with the steering wheel assembly too )

It sounds good. On a tl it should be a nice runner.

I love the Sand Rover.
I’m looking forward to seeing it on a different chassis. I’d love to say I’m a purist, but I’d actually like to put a Sand Rover on a different chassis as well. Good to see some RC project pictures coming along. As much as we’ve loved all the construction pics. Andy’s back in the game !!!

A Sand Rover body on a TL-01 chassis? Really? Eww
Still, it does look better than the 2011 "re-release" or the "Street Rover" |

Today was clean the 3 storage bins under my bench day, I did however start on the Sand Rover body restoration. This thing was as dirty as a mud wrestler so I soaked it before a final clean. I got the hair dryer out to heat up the stickers for easy removal and put the rest of the bit's in the ultrasonic cleaner. Next will be media blasting everything before repairs
The last Pic is especially for Jonny Retro I know his love of servo horns that a not trimmed correctly, Even if used as a washer to hold the head to the body If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

He he, I do hate badly finished servo horns, but like Van Halen & the brown M&Ms, it's a very (usually) indicator - if it hasn't been done, what else hasn't been done properly?
