Unless anyone has used it before, id test that silicone remover first. They normally harden the silicone. Works best on residue once the majority has been removed. It may be completely rubber safe, or it may harden the rubber too. I dont know, just thought it worth mentioning.

Absolutely I've used it on a shower (tile & "stone" (resin/ground rock mix) tray, I scraped 99+% of the sealent off first, the remover kind of shrivelled up the rest so the razor could lift it. No idea what it'll do to rubber etc, IIRC correctly it does say "test on a small area first" or something similar.

I think that a member try a white vinegar bath and it work well. (It was on a bruiser gearbox I think)
I am not sure that the vinegar do a matter with rubber tires. |

A nice old XR311 box arrived today. I’m guessing it’s original. Or did they put these in the re-releases. There’s a nice set of wheels and tyres. The tyres are a bit grubby, but look unused. There are a few bits that should come in handy on a couple of restorations. And the only real reason to grab this lot, the torsion bar which is in perfect condition. Cheers Al

Nice start Flo, you’ve been trying to do this project for ages. So good to see you start even if it takes a some time to complete.
Good luck.
