It dawned on me recently that I've been focusing on buying cars and bits of cars, but I'm desperately short of radio gear. Even if a car isn't going to be driven I would prefer to have a steering servo fitted so it's not all flopping around. So I've started picking up Futaba servos, I know where I am with these and my most trust worthy radio set is a Futaba so I can set everything up properly. A couple more are on the way. This is also a good way of using up the take away plastic boxes which I've been hanging onto in order to start storing all the parts I've got building up and need organising. I've got various old Acoms ones that I got with cars which look nice in my older cars, but they have those blocky connectors on that don't fit with my servo tester. So I can't really check them. Thanks and I hope everyone is getting through this. Al

I love keep dead servos for my shelf queens. And the s3003 is very good for standard runners. They are relatively cheap.

Hi Flo,
Cheers, they worked out at about £5 each and all work. Which is pretty good especially if they do end up on a shelf. I'm tempted to change the plugs on the Acoms ones I have, so I can test them properly, but then they aren't original any more. So you could be right I'll use those for the more vintage cars that probably won't turn a wheel in anger. I hope you are well and the family are all good. Cheers, Al

Futaba servo's is my favorite too
Have s148, 3003 and 3004 in loads of cars. I like also to fit a sevo to a shelf car so the wheels are not flopping around. Have been thinking of asking my friend to prints some servos just for that task. If you have a multi channel transmitter, you can use the circuit board to control leds on/off even if it's not up tp task to drive the servo. Hope your are safe as well
