I've bought a few RC/model related books recently, these 3 all are hardback & all 192 pages long …

The titles are:
-          Airfix: Celebrating 50 Years Of The Greatest Plastic Kits In the World (Arthur Ward, 1999)
-          Classic Kits: Collecting The Greatest Model Kits In the World, From Airfix To Tamiya (Arthur Ward, 2004); and
-          The Complete Book Of Radio Controlled Models (Chris Ellis, 2000)

For used, very good copies I paid 5.49 GBP, 7.49 GBP and 4.99 GBP respectively, all including post.

Airfix may have some cachet as a brand, but “greatest”? I’d put a lot of brands before them – Matchbox, Revell, Italeri, Tamiya of course, and probably many others – as I’ve always found the parts a bit insubstantial, fragile & often warped in comparison. Still, I’m looking forward to the subject matter & hopefully a lot of the old box art.

I’ve only flicked through the Classic Kits book to find the Tamiya history section, TBH I believe I’ve seen all the pictures before – including the one of Mr Tamiya Snr.

The RC Models book looks like it covers a lot of ground so I’m not expecting that much detail – but I do see a lot of Tamiya’s RC range in there :) Overall, lots of casual reading for the price of a few magazines :)

Well this actually arrived t
yesterday  but I had a busy day with work and entertaining my grandson.  So just a few little bits for the Lunchy #1 and Grasshopper II, plus a new motor I got cheap and some led's for a possible light setup at some point.. Springs are for an experiment with some other shocks. I have the original setup for Lunchy #1

Off to my Stepson's wedding now so catch you all later

Lee

Some bits for recent kit purchases. I've been extremely lucky with the 53125(s), having found five sealed packages over the past year.
