Spent a few minutes today wiping over my Blackfoot body. As you can see from the pictures it has suffered considerable damage and is going to be harder to repair than I initially thought.

The previous owner appears to have used some type of two-part epoxy resin which has formed almost immovable lumps of residue in and around the breaks. There are also small amounts of material missing from those fractures making a clean, asthetic repair almost impossible.

I used a little bit of sandpaper to coherse the old adhesive but it had minimal influence in removing the residue. There is lots of work to do before attempting a full repair and I'm reluctant to use many re-release parts. I want to keep everything as original as possible, even if that means some imperfections. But new windows and a few missing decals are non negotiable, I have to replace those.

A few pics of my busted body lol.

I have been putting together another 3 speed chassis, Hilux or Blazer.
I have found the longer prop shaft is too short.
I compared it with another one I got recently and I reckon it’s about 7 mm shorter.
Does anyone know a reason for this or has it just been chopped down at some point ?
Thanks Al.

Treated the Dyna Storm to it's original Spire Spike tyres, replacing the temporary Square Spike ones.

Yep, Flo that is a CC01 prop shaft.
It must be an old one. The one on my son’s car has steel looking UK’s not brass .
Oh well.
Thanks again.

Great colour choice sir & nice work ;)
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)
