Thanks Al. The matter is that the first owner drilled a big hole on the left side. Surely to put a 7,2v pack.

You should put a 540 motor in it. It runs fantastic with a little more power ;-)

Hi Flo, just taken a second look and I see.
Sacrilege.
I guess you could use some black plastic sheet to fill the gap.
I only used the 6v pack in mine.

I would like to put a 540 but need the motor support. For the chassis, I hope to be able to close the hole with a plastic sheet.
The body needs care but I would like to have a sand rover body. But too expensive.

Hi Flo, the 540 motor mount comes up on eBay fairly often.
If you don’t see one let me know, I’ve got a slightly abused one, but might do as a make wait.

You could get the new body and fill in the holes. I’ve not totally finished, but have one I’m working on.
