Hi Flo,
Yes please that would be awesome.
PM to let me know what you want for them or if you are after anything in trade.

Many thanks,
I bought 2 sets of driver figures last year so I’m good for my driver.

I spent this afternoon tinkering on this Sand Scorcher.
The rear shocks didn’t seem great so I stripped them down replaced the rubber washer, rebuilt and refilled them.
They really aren’t much better.
I know these aren’t great at the best of times, but the front ones are okay.
These rear ones are pants. The suspension just collapses if you exert any downward pressure at the rear.

I,ve put them on upside down on purpose.

I’ve got the CRP coil over upgrade, which I got a while ago.
I’ve been holding off using them because I didn’t like the idea of having to drill out the brass cap, but quite frankly these can’t get any worse so I think if I ever do it, these two are being sacrificed.

Take care,
Al

The dampers are just dampers - unless they are really binding for some reason, they can't be affecting the torsion bar stiffness. Either yours have gone soft (or started that that way), or they're not installed correctly?

Hi Jonny,

So are suggesting it’s the torsion bars that are the issue ?
If so I’ve got some spares, so can try swapping out these ones.

Cheers Al

Yep ... or the way you fitted them ... or the brass bit :)

ETA - they should be a bit of a pig to fit & feel far too stiff when you've got it right :)

Cheers Jonny, I’ll try some of the other torsional bars I’ve got.
Thanks for the advice.

Have a great Holiday Flo! Finally got around to painting the Grand Hauler. 3 light coats of primer white, 3 coats of Tamiya Pearl Green and 2 moderate coats of Testors high gloss top coat. Still an hour or 3 of finer detailing to do.
