I’m using working from home to my advantage.
Lunchtime is now a good opportunity to chip away at projects.
So I’ve started to clean up my Celica 58009.
I’ve already realised the gear box isn’t the correct one.
It’s actually the gear case part number SP-1136 which came with the black motor.
And the support bar has been removed at some point.

The old catalogues are handy reference when your not 100% sure about a part.

But it’s all cleaning up reasonably well considering the state some parts where in when they arrived.

Any ideas or suggestions on refreshing foam tyres, it that’s possible. Mine have some dents in them from being stored.

Thanks Al

Got a pair of TLT axles in the post yesterday.
Will be building old school scaler with some old scale chassis I got in the post as well.

I did clean the axles and the pair of chassis kits.
One of the chassis kit was made by a mate of mine (Midgaard Scale Chassis)
The other one being a Regin K2-3S

Sure is!
Have built about 8-10 crawler/scale vehicles based on TLT axles.
Still got a set or two more hiding in a parts box ;)

Wahhhooo dude! I don't nothing about crawlers. I have a cr01 but I never had the oportunty to use it. I bought it for the bodies. You should post a topic about this built. It should be interesting. A custom built is always good to see .

I will post a thread for sure :y:
Making a note to myself to explain both my history and a brief history of rc crawlers, or scalers as we like to call them as these is stricktly not crawlers.
Crawlers tend to not look like a factory bodied car, scalers are like a Hilux, Bronco etc.
Been building these things like 05' from scratch.
