Nice engine!

Took benefit of the fact I ended my last meeting of the day slightly earlier than initially expected to bring some mods to my daughter's DT-03 "The Frog" and make it slightly more like a frog: installed light buckets (#54972)

That did work well, but I had leds and connectors around so I added lights to The Frog

My daughter is happy with the result, and she has asked me to add red lights at the rear end. We agreed to do it when I'll change the wing by a white one (not sure when this is going to be delivered).

Anyway, the frog looks more like a frog now with the big eyes on the body :-D
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

Flo, looks like the engine is 3d printed, yes?

In 08' I bougth 3 resin kits which was 1:9 copies of the engine in the Revell Kubelwagen kit, this got into my mates Beetle project named Bugbuddy and 2 others were for my projects.
One is semi built and one is still in parts somewhere.
That is one of my future projects

Yes Richard it was 3d printed. From thinksgivers. My last one. It is made for a m chassis but not on m02 03 05. Maybe on the original m02L. I am thinking to strip my mfx01 body and customise it with this engine and keep it on a shelf scale car. I'm fan of the flat4

The bloke I bought it from was on the scale4x4 forum which is no longer.
And since my email got hacked since then I have no longer contact info of him.

The Revell 1:9 Kübelwagen kit expensive if you can manage to find one at all.

It is still available on ebay. Maybe a birth gift :p: already have the tamiya 1:14 rc kubelwagen and I love this car. Like the schwimmwagen. I saw only one time a real kubelwagen in my life. And I felt in love. My biggest scales were 1/12 . Sure the next project is this kubel. :y:
thanks a lot I never seen this scale size. Woohoo :p

Good progress today. Next steps
  • Glue tires
  • Find a way to fix rear leds (I have everything ready to connect the front ones already - it's just not mounted on the picture).
  • Paint the body shell and the driver head and add decals
  • And maybe find a way to hit the ESC button without removing the body  (which is by the way useless as I will need to remove the body anyway to connect the battery
Looks like it's on the good path to last till mid march... Still time to think about next kit :-D
