oOh nice paint 😊
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate

This week has been about 3 speed parts arriving. Today I put them all together to make this chassis. And hopefully by the end the weekend it will be a roller. My plan at the minute is to leave it in this state, so no polishing bits of metal so they are really shiny. This started out as the left over bits from 3 previous builds and some of the parts I’ve acquired aren’t perfect. I also want to run it. At the minute I’m sorting out the electrics, I’ve thinking of putting in an ESC. To finish it off I’m thinking Blazing Blazer tyres but Toyota body. Mainly because that’s what I have in my spares, well the Toyota cab, the back end is going to be naked for the time being. Attachments:

Yesssss! A nice 3 speed is back . Congrats Al. I love these chassis. Good idea for the blazer tires because for me they have more grip and are larger. Like steroided grasshopper tires.

Cheers Flo.
For anyone that’s interested, the guy in Hong Kong making the repro Blazer / Willy tyres has stopped making them. I’ve got two sets of originals and one repro set, which are excellent quality. I have a set of his Sand Blaster Jnr’s which are equally good, with a nice little tweak so you can tell the difference compared to originals. I’ve got a Hilux set on the way!!! Phew !!! I hope he wasn’t getting heat from Tamiya ? Because they’d stopped producing them. Now you’ve got to look after your repro stuff. I was going to run this latest 3 speed, now I’m feeling like I might as well sell it if I can’t run it. You can only have so much stuff looking lovely on a shelf. Any suggestions on tyres that will fit please. Have a good weekend. |
