I got all my 3 speeds out today for a group shot.
It’s a helpful reminder of what still needs to be done.
So, I’m attempting 1. to put a complete Toyota Hi-Lux together. 2. A Blazing Blazer. 3. A Hi-Lux with an 80’s after market truck man top body. 4. And the last one is just for fun ????

1. Is pretty much all there, it’s just the body to finish.
2. I think the only way to complete this is 3D printed parts to finish the body.
3. I’m attempting to shorten the wheel base slightly to fit the shell, this is going to cause a headache with fitting the electrics.
4. Just needs a bit of tidying up and possibly some body work to go on the back ??

Looks like a lot of fun ahead Al. Nice group of trucks, can't wait to see them as they are finished. What brand is the body with the full cap on it?

Yesterday i used my remaining liquid chrome to color the light buckets for my Porsche. The buckets i got at Tamico.de. They are printed parts, fit perfect and are of good quality.

Cheers Jim.
The after market body was made in the early’80’s.
I don’t think it’s from a company. There was an article in Model Cars magazine by the guy that made it. He must have got a batch made up, I picked mine up at Windsor Models. I’ve never seen another one. Someone told me they also had one, but they trashed it.
I’d love to chop out the windows and put clear plastic windows in, but I think I’ll end up trashing it. I think the safest thing to do is to strip or sand the paint back, re-paint it and add some MCI decals.

I should have some 3d printed rear lights for the blazing blazer Al. They have been scanned and printed from an original and fit perfectly. If you need or want.

Replaced the Lunchbox gears today.
Sadly the package did not include the spur gear, so I had to reuse a old one

And fitted with the body from Flo, which arrived today
