Todd,
I bought a nitro motor from Tower and then for 3 weeks it said the status was processing when it was really backordered and the status only changed when I contacted them. They are overhauling their computer system and its raising havoc with everything I'm told.. |

I just finished preparing my stuff for the Vosgienne Vintage RC 2023
It's a bit far from here, I'm going to my brother's place tonight, and will get on site tomorrow morning. The cars are ready, I have some spares available, just in case, althought I foresee not much runs and more discussion about 3D printing around my cars.... I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them

Oh yeah, it's been a mess, especially for Pre-Orders and billing. New in-stock stuff seems to be no issue. The main issues are the info transitioned into the new system, and the status not being correct like you mentioned. Good luck! I suspect the Candy Green GH I ordered is also backordered now, or it would have shipped with the other three in-stock kits. IG_tamiyaddiction

I'm still surprised how much inventory management in shops seems so difficult... That doesn't give a good feel on how they would manage post sales support and other special orders if they are not able to manage everyday stuff properly...

I've saved so much $$$$ with Tower's Point system and the Club Member savings discount, that I'm willing to give them a pass on most things while they work things out. When a couple of my Pre-orders got cancelled because of their system transition, they made good with additional discounts. However, the old me did not have this much patience, lol. Patience and tolerance was a learned behavior through not only Covid, but during the 18 month wait for Ford to build and deliver my '21 Bronco, in '22 IG_tamiyaddiction

Well, I took my stuff out of the car once back today from Vosgienne RC 2023, and RC car event in Tendon, Vosges, France...
As usual, I went there with a few cars, and many of them actually ran during the event... There was many discussions around 3D printing, just like last year, but probably more, as more and more people are aware of my work (and the Super Wheelie Mitsubishi was quite a good topic/discussion opener) There was some Super Wheelies at the event (those car were quite frequent in France, there was even race categories for those cars)... A very nice 6x6 prototype made of various parts and home made body... And for the rest, many many GP cars that actually ran... Lot of fun, many discussion, runs and some broken parts (a servo saver, a diff (my own mistake : the carter was not closed and a small foreigner object came in), a few screws lost)... Servo saver and Diff are already replace and the Hunter run again. I will need to resupply some M3x8 button head screws, as I don't have any remaining... I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them
