A while back I started cutting off only the bottom portion of wrapping, because I guess I think it will keep the pretty cover protected better? Who knows, but both boxes have been opened :)

Yes basically - I will be finishing one as an Astute tribute, so I comically am calling the "fake" Astute, a f Aux stute

Now that some calm has returned to life, I’ve spent a couple of days putting my Frog build together. This has allowed me to see what’s there and what parts need ordering.
So far I think I’m waiting on the rubber boot for the axles, the rod bag, I’ve ordered a bunch of servos, so two will go in here and some new tyres front and rear. I have a bunch of old MSC’s in the garage so I need to hunt those out and see if I’ve got the correct one, if not I’ll just have to put that on the “ keep a look out “ list. I also have a slightly messy set of old wheels which I’m going with for now.
I also don’t have a body for this, but at this stage I just want to get the chassis complete. Then I’ll decide how far I want to take the car, in terms of as shiny as possible or “ rat look “ ( complete, but shows it’s age and use ). I’ve cleaned all the parts, but it’s far from immaculate.
I spent some time yesterday going through Andy’s ORV build thread for some inspiration, it was certainly really helpful for my ORV / Scorcher build.

Tonight I puted electronic inside the blitzer beetle. So, after a big motor, fixing the rear shocks tower, a silvercan is enough to keep the Beetle safe. I tried it in the backyard and the silvercan does the job. Next work is to rebuild front lights.

I received a few new bits for the Frog resto today. Here it is up on new tyres and using some old  wheels.

I’m still waiting on a couple of other bits to get it complete. This should be together early next week.
