The world might end in 2027 5 years 2 months ago #53485

I can't help but notice that the latest model in the database is the 58665 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 HYBRID. 58665! We're burning through the 58000 series at an alarming rate. The first vintage 100 took Tamiya 16 years, from 1977-1991. But since then, models have been released at an increasing rate. The next 100 took only 6 years. I took the liberty of plotting the trend over time, doing an exponential curve fit, and then projecting forward.

If this disturbing trend continues, we could run out of 58000 series numbers available for new models as soon as 2027! One can only begin to imagine the catastrophic impact this could have on the world.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)
