That's a good sized model kit.  Enjoy that build .. 

Tamiya also made an approx. that size Kubelwagen in a an RC car "kit".  It came with two small motors , the transmitter and all electricals inside the box. 
I was lucky enough to pick one up from a friend who at the time had a business selling trains , slot cars , model kits and Tamiya paints .. and with the paints also some RC product. 

I have a tamiya 1/14 rc to. It's very fun. 

I begun the big kubel. the rust is almost how I wanted. To shiny and a little to clear. I used orange and brown and soda carbonate for the effect. I think to use flat base on the rust when all will be dry

The 1/9 is really a big scale. I worked on it these last days.

My resin engine on my project Bugbuddy uses a copy of that engine 
I still have one more engine to assemble.
One other engine is in my Slammed Beetle project based on the M04 Beetle.

This kubel is your fault richard. I didn't know that revell does a so big scale. 
one of my vw engine should be under a beetle body but I'm not still decided to cut my only body of my mf01x. And the chassis has a too big back to accept the motor.
