You need: * 1 rod of 4mm o.d. and 1 tube of 6mm o.d (4mm i.d.) , both in aluminum. --> available in home improvement retailers (Leroy Merlin,..) * epoxy glue (or cyanoacrilate glue) * 2 pins (or a 2mm or 2.2mm steel nail) * a drill, 2mm bits, a saw, a file. 1) Cut the 4mm rod to the required length. Also cut the 6mm tube to get 2 rings: 2) Glue the 2 rings to the rod with epoxy. Then drill it with a 2mm bit. 3) Insert the pin usin a workshop clamp and a nut (you can glue the pin with epoxy too). 4) If necessary, file the ends of the dogbone a little: Done: 5) Check the vibration or eccentricity of the shaft: |
