Hi all. Just signed up today. Have Some Tamiya kits. Currently building a LaFerarri TB-04. Videos on YouTube on the channel by the same name: GreatDogOfTheNorth.

Thinking of putting a brushless setup in the TB04, but I’m wondering if the differential gears will hold up.

I've got a brushless in my TB-04 and no problems so far. Depends on how hot the motor is and how hard you drive. I'm using a 10.5 turn. If you do burn up some gears it won't be the differential gears, it will be the 20 tooth bevel gear right after the motor

Thanks guys!
Blackbird thanks for that heads up. Hobby wing has a combo set XA1 with a 3.5t. I plan to run it brushed for a bit and then see how everything is wearing.

3.5t sounds like trouble to me. I think you want a TRF chassis for that. Good luck.

Yeah 3.5t might not be a good idea. Although some have done it.
