Porsche 911 Carrera RSR - wide wheels? 4 years 3 months ago #57884

Hi - have this kit. Does anyone know if the rear wheels are classed as 'wide'? The instructions state a different set-up for wide wheels is required. The rear wheels are visibly wider than the front yet there's no reference to whether these are 'wide' or not.

TT02 version.

Any advice welcome.

Cheers

Yes if the rear is wider than the front, the are classed as "wide".

Normal versions of the TT02 has the same size front and rear.

Checked with the UK Tamiya distributor, The Hobby Company Ltd, and got this advice:

I can confirm that this item uses the standard setting.

However, when constructing the rear wheels please ensure that they are assembled with a deep offset, if you look at the box art, you will note the difference between the front and rear wheels.

Very quick and helpful response from them.

Thanks all for comments/advice.

That's the same as the Zakspeed Capri, which I have 2 of.
Rear wheels are built to look like they are wider than they are, negative offset in real world. :)
