Trying to bring this smooth page scroll plugin to the next level with a super cool JavaScript feature named requestAnimationFrame. It has a really low impact on device resources because it times animations to be triggered only when the screen display refreshes. Seems to be working well :

That script and some additional demo and documentation pages have been going pretty well...
ataredo.com/mor...cidscroll/ ataredo.com/mor...lucidtest/ Looks like the free VPS service I've been enjoying for a while will be cancelled though. Lack of IPv4 addresses. But not to worry... I'll be upgrading! Already configurating a new server with some improved specs. I'll be switching to the paid service now from the guys that offered the free machine. For about $6 a month you can get some fast and private (Frankfurt based) hosting. Times of precious web access really have changed. Only thing is that you gotta do all the linux configuration yourself but that's pretty interesting stuff. Even in this heat. www.host1plus.c...ps-hosting The free service had the 'bronze' specs, now it'll be silver plus. |

How utterly awesome modern browsers are. This one's 3d and can be mouse wheeled or "flicked" to give it speed:

each time you turn with a trackpad, it looks like to make several turns but finally it only increase or decrease 1 number

Stupid trackpad, lol. I'll look into it even though I can't test it myself. Thanks for the feedback.
Talking of stupid, how about them last decade Intel chips being all vulnerable. Edit - any better now? I've throttled the mousewheel event. It's a bit ironic that a trackpad has issues with a design that reminded me of tracks... And that Intel didn't see this thing with their predictive model coming. |

If it isn't IE giving trouble, there's always something else. Coding isn't as universal yet as one might hope for.

Jeez, silly Chrome is ignoring the web standard and breaking half the plugins on the web.
They feel the need for "intervention" so people can start scrolling the page a little faster. None really their business though. Broke scrolling on Tamiyaweb too (not sure how long that was going on) but fixed now after being forced to by Silicon Valley. Thanks Obama! |
