This Christmas I want to buy two cars, one for me and the other for my son. The idea is to assemble then together and do some races.
The place where we race is a gravel track, although it is flat, it has to be 4X4. As my son likes German cars, especially Porsches. I was thinking of two Tamiya Porsche 911 GT2 Club Sport TA02SW 47321.
Another option would be the Tamiya VW Scirocco GT24-CNG R-Line (TT-01E) which is also available with an interesting price
This chassis behave well in gravel?
Can I buy dirt tires for these wheels?
If someone can help me or have any suggestions .... Thanks

For me the ta02sw would be my first choice. Because of 4 oil shocks, rear balls diff and short wheelebase and large ways. But rear wheeles are larger.
The tt01 should be a better choice for your track. Standard wheelebase, standard rims on wich you can put rallye blocks tires. It has 2 bevels diffs. You only need to put 4 oil shocks ( and classic ball bearings set). And you have a bigger bodies choice in case of...

Porsche is my favorite but ... I've been checking for negative offset rims for the rallye blocks tires, but only find with positive offset.
In the impossibility of finding suitable tires or rims I think I'm more inclined to VW (although the Porsche is my favorite) and some rallye blocks tires as you suggested stingray-63.
I still have a few days until Christmas, maybe another alternative will show up ;-)

The porsche taisan is my missing ta02 version and one of my favourite too. You have other bodies to put on the tt01. I think the tt is a good choice and lot of upgrade available.

He loves the Porsche Cayenne, but already has one.
I also thought about a Tamiya 58629 Mercedes-Benz G 320 (MF-01X) but it seems to be very small. Especially compared to Porsche Cayenne

Yes, big difference in wheelbase on those two.
Cayenne is 280mm, Mercedes is 239mm.

I'm more or less convinced to buy another Cayenne S to have two cars to do some races.
I am still undecided on what model to choose to build with him...
