I hope that you have the red builder set :silly: . My dealer said me that it is better quality than blue ones.
I have mine since more than 10 years... :silly:  :silly:

Meh

The only Tamiya tools I have are a handful of the cast box spanners ... last screwdriver I bought was made by Wera - rubbery handle, hex on the shaft so you can drive it with a spanner if you want, shaft is the "full tang" variety & runs all the way through the handle, where it terminates in a big metal dome so you can badword it with a hammer if necessary ...

If you so much as thought about doing that with a Tamiya item, it'd run crying to its mommy

Maybe I shouldn't be so skeptical ... I've bought plenty of "unecessary" Tamiya branded items, including a stopwatch & a large banner that I can't even hang up as the cat would shred it

They really feel like quality stuff... and there's something to original Tamiya tools. Made in Japan. B)
Especially the screwdrivers really weren't that expensive either.
And compared to what I was using before (multibit tool from the sales bin), it's a big move onward.

:)

Okay, the wrench is a bit dandy but I love the bling as well as it's functionality...

Facom are proper posh tools, far better than Snapon (I call them strapon cos they're too slippery to do the job properly).
Never used any toy car brand tools, except Tamiya's box wrench & allen keys, which have been really useful for other stuff

I am a fan :silly: of FACOM tools. Same for RCs but not for tams or 1/10th rc.
I have a air shock wrench made by snap on and I think it is the better I used.
