Move images from old to new gallery 12 years 8 months ago #2156

How to use the Gallery:

Uploading:
Images you intend to upload must be on your PC/Mac before you start. (upload from an url is not possible)
  1. To upload your image, go to the sub menu of "Gallery -> "User Panel"
  2. Click the upload button
  3. Enter "Title"
  4. Select Category
  5. Enter a desription
  6. Click "Browse" to start looking for the image file on your computer.
  7. Click "Open"
  8. Click "Upload"
  9. Wait until the image is uploaded (time depends on file size and your connection speed)
That's it.
After the upload is done, you will be taken to your "User Panel" where your image now is listed.

Browsing:
To brows all images, you click top menu "Gallery"
This page shows all categories currently holding an image.
Click your way through the Categories and to the deatil pages of the image.
Use the Tree View in the right column to easily jump between categories.

Commenting:
Leave comments to images, just like any other commenting on this site.


Pictures uploaded in the old system:
You are no longer able to upload images in the old system, but you can still retreive the images you have uploaded to the old gallery (named "Old Gallery" in you profile).
Note, the images you will download may be reduced in size compared to your original.
  1. Go to your profile.
  2. Select the "Old gallery" tab
  3. Right click on the icon representing the image you want to download.
  4. Select "Save Link As" (Firefox) or "Save Target As" (IE) and save the file to a suitable place on yuor computer.
  5. Repeat item 3 and 4 for all images you want to download.
  6. Check all images are stored, and delete the images on Tamiyabase.com.

Then you can upload them to the new Gallery.
