I need help with my re-re Tamiya Frog. 5 years 11 months ago #49462

Hi all. I'm currently having a bit of a dilemma as I want more speed from my Tanya frog. I already have a gt-tuned motor in it. I want to be able to pop wheelies if possible and want top end speed. I've been thinking about a TBLM-02 motor and TBLE-02s esc. Would this work and would i need any further upgrades to run this. I'm open to any motor, esc and transmission upgrades as long as they total under £100. Also my gearbox has a horrible grinding noise. Any clue what this could be Ive taken it apart and can't find an issue. Thanks in advance.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

;) The Blackfoot, Monster beetle, Subaru Brat and the frog all have the same basic gearbox :) But you will need to update your counter gear ;) Watch the Video it explains it all :)

Thank you Andyaus. Does anyone know about a upgraded motor. I've seen a super stocks RZ, but I want to be able to pop wheelies as I'm getting a wheelie bar. I want something that won't destroy the gearbox. I've been recommended not to go brushless from my local RC shop, but can you if you use the super ball diff. I also want a lot of top end speed. Thank you.

Here is a guy that installed a MIP ball diff and a brushless system in his MB, There is more stress put through the gearbox of these big wheel cars the the Frog. Your biggest issue will be traction ;)

To help with traction I was going to put a 12mm hex adapted on and some big fat street tyres.
