Some of the models in the man cave could be defined as runners still, others were runners when I bought them, but I have since started tearing them apart Models in the glass cabinet are display only, although most of them RTR. I can't afford running them -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Use normal BBcode if you want.

So, I've started to sort out what my man cave currently holds.
I started on the top shelf and found two Egress' I got these as a part of a biq qty deal I did quite some years ago. I also found a box of Egress parts, and I found the Hybrid Pin Spike tyre sets, which I bought way before the re-re Egress. I can still remember that "close-your-eyes-and just-hit-BIN-and-get-it-over-with" feeling. They were rare as hens teeth back then... Both cars are in quite good shape. I guess I will dismantle both and build one with the best bits, and the other with "the rest" (which should be pretty good too). I also have a NIB body set waiting, also bought before the re-re, but the price was very reasonable. USD 70,- which was a steal back then. Anybody knows the origin of these two spring types? I believe the yellowish are the ones that came with the kit, but where are the shiny ones, with square wire from? -Lars Signature now gets correct formatting if you edit it in your Profile. Are they period correct for the Egress, or did they come out later?

More from the same shelf; a Vanquish and an Avante 2001.
It's coincidental that these three share the same chassis components, and shelf The Vanquish is in good running order, and equipped with a Kyosho Le Mans Sports H-240S. The Vanquish chassis looks toyish compared to the Egress... The Avante 2001 is the one I used as a runner some years ago. I ran it in a vintage race arranged in Oslo together with the national rounds in 1:10 Off road. I can't remember how i did, but I had to upgrade with aluminium hubs for the next year... Modern wheels and TRF dampers add to the drive-ability, and the 01R motor propelled it nicely. It will be a challenge to restore this one, even with the spare chassis.
