Upload your model pics, would be great to see your FF01. Any further parts resource sites would be much appreciated.

Seidel is probably the best European source for original spares... :y:

Those gear diffs are pretty much indestructable. :)
I think they're the same as the TA01, TA02 and CC-01 but I actually noticed for the first time that these are black...

You can give the car a bit more straight line stability by filling the diff with thicker grease.
It will go at the cost of the turning circle somewhat.
Locking (for a drift setup) them can be done by putting one of the bevel gears in between the others :

Although I used an extra (4th) one here for a slightly better balance...
Filling it with hot glue will also help in this respect.

:y:

Btw - I too was a fan of putting lots of grease on the gears but I found out that most will be thrown into the gearbox casing...
So I now stick to applying a rather thin but thorough layer with a small brush.

Thanks for this... would you recommend me removing most of the grease then? This is as far as i've got so far, so it would be a good time to re-apply.

That may be a good idea, although it doesn't cause any problems - just a greasy gearbox. ;)
You could take a brush (like I do) and apply the excess to the other gears that still need to be done. :y:

:) Edou,
The diffs are the same ta01 02 but material is for me totally different. Black looks like more poor plastic. But for the TA0102 it is more celoron and better quality. For the CC01 It is only the front diff wich is I think the same like TA 02. For the TA03 exists a Hop up fast drive transmission wich have a small transmission module like Xpress and every competition cars. I had it on my first optioned TA03 audi A4. It is relatively "fragile"

Thanks, parts evolution is always hugely interesting. :y:
I know you can run the TA03 ball diff and one way diff on a DF-01, TA01 or TA02 as well.
But you have to use the original diff joints.

Porsche959Boy, if you want to build a drifter then the 53200 one way diff unit (in the front gearbox) can give the car a very light and free rolling characteristic. Together with a locked rear gear diff it's the setup that's usually preferred.
