my Neo Top Force, rebuild 11 years 5 months ago #14496

here it is.

as you all luv pictures I will take this apart slowly

Nice and tidy

Clever, rings attached to the screws :y:

here too

Crab?

Now thats different

Electronics, all still works

The usual

The lexan appears to be a little thicker than the 'real' TFs (.5 and .7 mm)and the front section is totaly different.

Almost done, just have to clean the old oil out of the dampers.

 uh, now what the .., those look funny. and half filled with oil.

All set for cleaning B) I will spare you all with the rebuild. (or not  )

thx for watching so far.

Great thread. Interesting to see more relatives of the DF-01. :y:
Never understood on the XBs why they put a cover on top but then choose to leave the chassis open.
Anyway, it's a Top Force!

:woohoo:

Edit - nice drill and other tools too.

Always nice to see a complete & detailed build, don't become shy with the pictures :) look forward to seeing it come back to life.....andy.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem mate :)

Those friction dampers are funny, are they on any other cars except the two DF01 XB super Manta and Neo TF?

aside from the dampers the only big difference is the chassis tub, here it is all cleaned up with the original elecs.

what happened to this car is the result of a Design team on to much Wiskey and karaoke  (me thinks)

if they ever made money out of these molds they made for it?

it looks nice and clean though with the lid on top.

still looking Ok.

Well its a Tamiya and a Top Force but something is just a tiny bit of the balance with this car.

ps.anybody got the battery hatch? Looking for one or a picture of it. thx

:y:
Nice, I like the color design of the XB MR, fits nicely to the TF evo design.
Guess I will have to make that hatch out of aluminium dont think plasticard will do.
Can you make a picture from the top or bottom view with a ruler beside it?

And another question as you have both cars, is the thickness of the XB MR lexan different from the original MR?

my Neo Top Force, rebuild 11 years 2 months ago #18117

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a NEO TOP FORCE the same than WATERBOK but I don't recognize this chassis
It is not a TA01. Is it a DF01? Because I thought that the df01 was the same of the TA01 :S .

The chassis tub is a DF01 XB special, Tamiya only made it for the XB Manta Ray and Neo TF (me think).

 Is it a semi rarity or a big badword?
