TG-10 mk1 rebuild 11 years 2 months ago #17345

Hey all, Thought I would show another side project i'm working on

This one is a TG-10 mk1 I got it as part of a bulk lot of 3 rc's in various
conditions :pinch: It had the original Tamiya Subaru shell on it but well scuffed, the wheels had been replace with some cheap nos and left to sit on them so there flat spotted :S

So as per usual, I did a complete strip and rebuild, strapped some Tamiya racing slicks on her then I managed to pick up a Tamiya Nissan GTR Skyline shell. I have just Finished rebuilding the engine and polishing the pipe B) now i'm just waiting for some other goodies to arrive

Couple of pic's for ya ;)

 Gee I didn't realize it had been over 6 months since I touched this  Anyways I finally ordered up a body mount kit for this, the other stuff has ben fitted so I just need to fit a steering servo and a pull start and we should be good to go :)

Cleaned and setup the throttle and brake linkages tonight, replaced the white ball links for some black ones and set the twin servo horn. I added the steering servo and found a nice upgrade servo saver for it :) then fitted a nice detail with the red and black on/off cover plate

:y: Nice,
At your place I would mount a aloy air filter support and remove the big blue case. the engine will run better. I put it on my TGX with the hop up tuned exaust pipe. It is amazing.

Thanks, I'm probably leaning towards electric more these days  I just like the mechanics of the nitro models :side: It seems like the most common words from our wives in relation to this hobby are "what do you need another one for?" or "Where did that come from?"  :pinch:
