I got my rere Brat earlier in the week and had time today to get the chassis built. It's gonna be a runner so I will have some fun painting the lexan body and go box art on the hard body and put it on a shelf. Went with a low kv brushless motor and spaced out the side battery stays by 1/2 inch so I could fit a 4000mah 3s lipo in. I might scrounge some money away for some CRA alloy parts in the near future.

It's only a 2100kv. It's really a 380 in a 540 case. Not a whole lot faster than a silver can. But I can program the ESC to my driving style.

Looking good
But ...
That looks like a soft case - I'm not sure I'd want to chance that in an exposed battery bay like on the Brat |

"Not a whole lot faster than a silver can" - I think that applies only to using 7.2v NiMH - on 11.1v Lipo that promises to go like a greased whippet ... What is your driving style, "BANZAI!!!!!" ? |

All I've ever run are soft cases so I can swap from cars to planes and use the same packs. No fires as of yet with some pretty horrendous crashes.
I'll have to get a vid today doing some "high speed" passes. You guys will laugh at how not fast they are. |
