Bought 2 beaten up Extremes last night for a steal. Started stripping one to see whats all wrong. Doesn't seem bad. Will do a build and upgrade to longer shocks and basic bearings and what not. Both came with teu101's and sport tuned motors.

Plastic parts are soaking in a bucket of dishwasher solution and all metal parts have been cleaned in Turpentine. Gearbox parts are clean and awaiting bearings.


Had a look at the shock tower upgrade and noticed that they are for 105mm odd shocks. I would like to use CVA Shorts at 94mm. Took some dimensions and came up with the following:



I'm guessing the height at the moment. Please share your input!

This is the GPM one no measurements but you can work your way from the holes.

Any possibility to get the distance in height between the stock mounting holes and the extended ones? just to clarify my drawing... And these plates are for 105mm shocks?

Like I said, I want to use the 94mm CVA's.

Messed about some more:



Extra width added for a more vertical position on the shock when mounted to the outside mounts on the arms. think this is as close as I will get to the ones on the net without measuring myself.
