Construction of the engine is now complete - lots of detail on the front end + a basic fake gearbox on the back... in hindsight I probably should have found some size specs for the engine, measured the engine bay & done some careful calculations - but doing it all by guesswork has worked out fine
Ideally I need to change the cap head screw on the fan for something a tiny bit shorter, but the only reason the V8 doesn't fit perfectly in the Pumpkin engine bay is because I need to cut a proper transmission tunnel

Tiny motor & gearbox ... specs are 1000rpm @ 12v, 16mm OD...
Wiring, homemade brass assymetric weight & mount added: Holes Dremelled in engine ... ... motor installed: Even with the body jacked right up, this is how much I'll have to cut off the back & base of the engine to make it fit over the front suspension ... that seems very wasteful & I'd rather build another engine - but in the meantime this projects going back in a box due to lack of enthusiasm |
