A little too big tires but WAAHOOOOO!!!
A perfect dodoche de luxe. And the GB sticker is the missing touch. I love it Jonny. I'm too happy to see it.

Mr tam didn't make good headlights. A little too short and the stickers are stranges.

Assembled all my M chassis builds into one thread as I have a couple more ongoing - 1st is an L&L Porsche 356 body for the M-06 (short) RWD chassis.

All I've done so far is cut out the body &put magnetic body mounts on, but TBH the rears aren't ideal as they're trying to sit flat on a compound curve. I'm going to have another go, this time horizontal :)

I think I've settled on silver as the colour.

2nd car will be a Mini 1275GT on an M-03 chassis.

The chassis & (now discarded) Cooper body came from eBay a few weeks back, and show the perils of looking at stuff on your phone, and falling for an apparent bargain. I’m not saying I was gypped by any means – pretty much every issue with it was visible in the eBay photos in retrospect, and it was a fair price for what it was – but what it was a was a collection of bits, put together to look like a car :D

The body turned out to have lots of repairs and filler, had been repainted on the outside, badly touched up, and was merely balanced on the chassis. The bodyposts could never have held it on. I only ever saw it as a donor chassis, but would have like to do something with the body other than throw it straight away.

The original wheels had some damage, and had been badly painted chrome & black. I had hoped it might flake off in the ultrasonic tank, but will need proper stripping at some point.

Nylon bearings are never a good, sign – some looked brand new, others were used. DIY axle pin is better than not having one I suppose :D

Never heard of this make of servo, it was also broken - any resistance at all make it jump teeth for a new neutral point.

Chassis stripped, ultrasonically cleaned:

Chassis rebuilt with proper bearings from RCBearings.co.uk, the odd bit from the spares box, an "S3003" servo & new wheels:

L&L Clubman body cut out & sitting on magnetic mounts:

:)
