I like this flat nose body.

Black Mini looks good from the outside (I masked the grille so I could spray it a different colour), but it evidently got contaminated with something & my cleaning just spread it around.

Ordinarily the only way to deal with this sort of thing is to take it back to bare plastic, but as it's many coats of PS on polycarbonate, it would be easier to just buy a new shell.

If I'm resigned to that anyway, then I might as well finish it & see what it comes out like :)

I did think about using Gunmetal on the Porsche - I decided it would be too dark but I'm regretting it now, Silver is just too light. I will back it with black in the hope it tones it down a bit.

The right hand side and left hand side windows are quite different on this shell - the window mask are the same, just handed. I really did my best with placing them, but on the right side there's a gap (3mm at the top and 4mm at the bottom). On the left, they overlap by about 1.5mm.

There are no window rubbers on the decal sheet, so I will make my own. I will airbrush the bumper over-riders on the outside :)

I love 2. You could put a uk flag on the roof to mask defaults. It is nice.

I like your thinking - I might have to do a chequered flag now, whether it needs it or not :D

I only saw one time a gt mini. It was a woody version and felt in love.

It doesn't show up very well in the photo, but the Porsche in subtly darker, and the form/shape is better defined after backing the silver with black.

I've stuck the magnets on both cars with 5 minute Araldite & will leave them overnight before seeing how well they've set.

Also been busy with the vinyl cutter :)

To be honest, I prefer the mini. The 356 looks more than a toy.

My father used to say:
"Gott schuetze mich vor Sturm und Wind.......und vor Autos, die aus England sind.!" ( God may protect me from storm and wind......and from cars made in england)

Lets compare after decals are on ;)

Mini FTW.....  Even in full size cars I'd take the mini.  Or take the Porsche, then sell it, and buy two Mini's
