I think it's just the last relases of the CC01 who got the black gears.
My 08' CC01 for sure has white grears and so has all the others I've seen.

I have 4 different CC-01's and I'm not sure which have white gears. My oldest is the re-re Pajero and I seem to recall they were white but I'd have to open it up to be sure. I would assume the white parts to be Nylon. I wonder what polymer is used for the black gears? They seem to be less flexible.
