Built the shocks this morning, I was surprised by the poor fitment of the front spring on the lower collar Added an O-ring which sorted it out Media blasted the electrics top cover, Servo mount and a set of lights before undercoating.

I remember having the exact same reflexion for the lower collar... I did it my way : using 3D printer :-). That being said, I'm not running the Wild One that much: the Turbo Scorpion is there for that :-)
I buy kits to built and ru(i)n them :-)

A little bit more, Secured the servo correctly and added some heat shrink to the wire. Made a P clip to to hold it in place and I'll use an extension to get it to the receiver

Fitted the gearbox and a Sports Tuned motor plus the 3D printed VW motor which was painted by the PO. Decided to add another alloy bar to the rear of the cage as I didn't like the lights, I just had to file some clearance in to the back side of the bar to allow for the end of the gearbox before brush polishing. Changed out the front spots for a nicer look, Next I need to finished setting up the steering. 😁

Looking fantastic!

Hella spotlights was the rave here in Norway in the 80s. My dad had them on his Beetle.
Good choice!
