Starting withthe gearbox....I was waiting for the bearing i ordered to be delivered. They finally arrived last week.
Dissasemble and cleaning the complete gearbox:





Removing the gears to fit the flanged bearings





Mainshaft fitted back into the case

Taking all shafts apart anf fit bearings with spacers



Working on the outershaft





Once all bearings replaced, it's time to assemble everything back again with the shift forks



Installing them in the case







Final step before installing the motor i replaced the UJ's and the propeller shaft that was completely worn out

Gearbox with the shafts ready to be installed :



Installed in the chassis with the new tires... Just waiting for the finished body now :P :P





As soon as the weather conditions get better i'll keep you posted with the body progress.

:woohoo: I have to buy a vintage 3 speed. Your resto is awesome.
I don't know who asked if the hilift was bearings equipped. My F350 has from remember, all the bearings.

Progressing slowly....

Finished the primering and started to apply the first coat of paint on the front cab






I hope to finsh the body today...but it depends on the weather conditions.

A Blazer... Hmm depending on the condition i'd say 800€ upwards...

I was lucky to find mine (unrestored but complete) for a bit less than that.

You can get a decent Bruiser for around 400€ on german Ebay kleinanzeige, the older Hilux 4x4 goes for around 650€
