Here is my new tam. The restoration doesn't need a lot of work. Only small cares and new goodies like tires, a bodyset probably. It has a metal motor support.

It has nice electronic.
An acoms at5 esc and a first gen futaba attack sr.
I am waiting ball bearings and I have a small matter: which motor mount ?
I have several possibilities.
A 540 SD technipower,
A 540 VZ technigold
A M&Y special buggy
Or a trinity twister or a smt 14x3
Wich one could be nice? And wich motor pinion have I to put on it?
Thanks for advices guys.

Great Top Force, Flo!
For me, the motor has to be a Tamiya one, the TechniPower sounds like a good choice! :y:

Thanks a lot Lars.
Can I keep the 21t motor pinion? Or should I use a smaller?
Gears are in great condition.
I need to replace a big quantity of screws.

I'm pretty sure you can use a smaller pinion, the 21T is the largest recommended. And with a more powerful and faster motor, smaller pinion would make sense.
These are Tamiya's recommendations in the Top Force manual:

Translation of the text on top is something like this:

5 · Gear ratio Incorporates the mounted motor, the road surface condition and layout of the course, and the specification battery. The table below is the standard binning gear for each motor when racing for 4 minutes using the 1700EX battery However, since the consumption of the battery will increase in a course with a good grip on the road surface, if it is also necessary to reduce the number of pinions by 1 to 2

Probably the 18t or 19t should be better. I have to try the ESC. Not sure that it supports the technipower.

Tonight I worked on the rear. Dismantling, cleaning, greasing and rebuilding.

Don't forget to reinforce the rear gearbox and put some wingwashers on the rear shockmount.

Thank you. I saw that I need a complete rear gearbox. All screw holes are brocken on the upper cover. The first owner had too tighten screws. I have only a red box :(
