Many thanks everyone on the input so far
Sport Tuned it is then yayyyy
Next question, what pinion should I be running on the sport tuned
And I’m sure it’s already been answered but this car would have used an MSC rather than an ESC

Depends does it have the TA speedgears? Do you want scale speed or rc racing?

I run with the 21teeth pinion. Wich is in the box. Same with a sport tuned. It is not a hard modified motor.

You will have to enlighten me a bit on speed gears plz WB
It will certainly never be raced, a blast up n down the road if it’s lucky that’s all
The ST motor I have has a 17 on it at the moment, a bit to low?

You have 3 main gears available for the ta02. 66, 69 and 71 or 74 teeth. (Not sure for numbers). The bigest pinion is a 21 th. Look in the manual. And keep it stock. The sport tuned will be ok. ;)

17T should be good for burnouts, more torque less speed ;)

Ummmmmm burnouts I like the sound of that, tho I don’t think I want that for the Taisan
Been checking what I’ve got project wise and decided to allocate the ST with 17pinion to the Martini Escort RS Cosworth and the motor out of that a black bell 540, age appropriate I hope?? For the Taisan

It has T74 written in it so I am assuming it’s a 74 tooth spur
It’s going to get the motor in the pic below with a 21 pinion, unless the motor is deemed to new, I await people’s opinion on that :y:
